Teens can improve their chances of employment by completing a tractor safety training. MSU Extension will host a 4-H Tractor Safety Program for 14 and 15 year old youth (must be 14 years of age by June 1, 2018). Participants must attend all five sessions to become certified.
Space is limited. The registration deadline is March 23, 2018. Registration is online only in a two-step process:

2. Become a 4-H member and create a profile online at www.4honline.com

Parallel 45 Vines and Wines, Inc., and MSU Extension are hosting the 2018 Northwest MI Wine Grape Kickoff on April 13, 2018.
Internationally renowned enology and viticulture experts will educate Michigan grape and wine producers on virus management, promoting living soils in the vineyard, and building and integrating structure and aroma in the cellar.
Clark Smith, a world-renowned winemaker, consultant and respected innovator for his pioneering contribution to the winemaking world, will provide 4.5 hours of winemaking education to grape and wine producers. Monica Cooper of the University of California Cooperative Extension and Agriculture and Natural Resources in Napa County, California, will offer one hour of vineyard virus management education.
Lunch is provided and the day will end with an informal wine tasting and social - feel free to bring a bottle of wine to enjoy with others!
